AI Foundation Models in Medical Imaging: The Path to Patient Impact

  • idalab GmbH 68 Potsdamer Straße Berlin, BE, 10785 Deutschland (map)

Abstract

Join us for an evening on how AI foundation models will change medical imaging – from diagnostics and biomarkers to clinical decision-making and patient care.

The promise: faster translation from pixels to patient insight. Yet the path to clinical impact is complex.

This panel will discuss where they see the biggest potential for health applications, what hurdles they are facing and what is needed to get from Neural Networks to clinical reality.

Panelists

Dr. Maximilian Alber is a co-founder and CTO of aignostics and holds a PhD in Machine Learning from TU Berlin. Aignostics is an AI-driven startup with the mission to generate insights from bio-medical data and more specifically pathology data.

Dr. Omar El Nahhas is a co-founder and CEO of StratifAI™ and holds a PhD in Computer Science from TU Dresden. StratifAI is a precision oncology company that has developed Polaris™. By combining clinical data with multimodal AI, Polaris™ identifies novel biomarkers that enable more precise, data-driven treatment decisions.

Artem Elmuratov is the Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare at Nebius, a leading AI cloud provider based in Europe. He drives the development of infrastructure that enables data-intensive workloads in drug development, biomedical research, and healthcare.

Dr. Steffen Vogler, Principal Imaging Technology Scientist at Bayer, works at Bayer Radiology-R&D and holds a PhD in Neurobiology. He is leading research and product development on AI in medical computer vision with experience in both radiology and digital pathology.
