By joining our Student Trainee Programme, you will work on client projects from day one with the guidance of experienced colleagues. Our programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of AI, data, life science and healthcare.

YOUR PROFILE

We are seeking candidates at the intersection of AI/data and life science. While deep expertise in both areas is not required, a background that includes both life science and quantitative perspectives is preferred. Suitable backgrounds may include, but are not limited to:

  • Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Quantitative Molecular Biology, or Biology with significant exposure to computational/quantitative methods

  • Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering with significant exposure to applications in life science

In addition, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program

  • Some experience with relevant software tools (e.g., Python, SQL) gained in an academic or business environment

  • Some experience with data analysis, statistics, or computational methods

  • Work proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is a plus but not required

YOUR AVAILABILITY

  • You currently live in the Berlin area

  • You are available for ~20 hours/week during the semester

  • You have 12 or more months left until graduation

  1. Video interview (30 mins)
    We want to learn more about you and your motivation. You can learn more about idalab, the role and we will make sure to answer all your questions.

  2. AI/Life science consulting case study
    You can prove your conceptual, technical and methodological skills. No previous experience in solving consulting case studies is required.

  3. Onsite interviews and presentation
    You get to present your solution to the team. In personal interviews we have the opportunity to get to know each other
